Our client is a young, dynamic, and growing family business specialized in sorting, packaging, and trading fruit. This takes place from a modern, refrigerated packaging hall in the Venlo region. To strengthen the team, we are looking for an experienced

Team Leader (experience in food)

What will you do?

You will ensure that the production teams are optimally utilized and that the advanced production/packaging lines run smoothly and without interruptions. In this role, you will lead a team of line operators and production staff, organize the production process, and ensure compliance with hygiene and occupational health and safety regulations.

You will closely collaborate with the line operators, QC staff, our technical service staff, and easily coordinate with our HR team.

Responsibilities:

• Realizing the production planning and orders in the most efficient manner;
• Implementing the personnel policy regarding recruitment, directing, and motivating staff/team, absenteeism management, performance reviews, etc.;
• Monitoring KPIs and reporting deviations in planning, quality in accordance with BRC, SKAL, IFS, and HACCP regulations, and any technical issues;
• Creating and following up on work schedules and staffing for various production lines, coordinating with HR and recruitment agencies;
• Organizing and scheduling staff on various production lines;
• Monitoring progress according to the planning and adjusting the teams as needed to ensure the packaging process runs as optimally as possible;
• Leading and participating in (TPM) projects where you guide a team of line operators actively working on optimization proposals regarding the production process and directing improvement teams.

Is this you?

You live in the Northern Limburg region and feelcomfertable in the fruit and vegetable sector. Of course, you have several years of demonstrable leadership experience, and you are a strong team player who is not afraid to hold people accountable for their responsibilities when necessary. You find it a challenge to further optimize a team and its output. You are willing to work in shifted shifts (6:00 AM – 8:00/9:00 PM) and work one Saturday every two weeks (6:00 AM – 12:00 PM). Even though it can be hectic at times on the work floor, you remain calm, keep your overview, and know how to prioritize effectively.

For us, you are the right candidate if you:

• Have an MBO+ working and thinking level;
• Have an affinity for a production environment (fruit and vegetable sector) and have technical insight;
• Have a good command of the English language in both spoken and written forms. Mastery of Polish and/or Dutch is a plus;
• Possess good communication skills and social abilities;
• Have a flexible attitude both in work approach and working hours;
• Are willing to work in shifted shifts and one Saturday every two weeks;
• Are a team player with a positive and energetic attitude.
