For our client, an international logistics company in Venlo, we are on the hunt for a

Team Leader for Cross Dock. This role involves working in three shifts: 05:30 – 14:30, 09:00 – 18:00, and 16:30 – 01:30.

As a Team Leader, your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to ensure the optimal functioning of our logistics processes. You’ll dive into daily operations with your team, efficiently handling thousands of pallets like a logistics ninja.

Your Responsibilities

How do we do this? By being the mastermind behind initiating and implementing process improvements that will boost our cross-dock efficiency and effectiveness. Your tasks will include:

• Analyzing existing processes to uncover hidden gems of optimization.
• Identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring the necessary changes are successfully implemented.
• Overseeing day-to-day operations, making sure everything runs smoothly from receipt to dispatch.

But wait, there's more! You’ll also play a crucial role in motivating and guiding your team to achieve their best every day. You'll encourage them to proactively spot opportunities for improvement and help turn those ideas into reality. You’ll achieve this by:

• Leading your team on a rotating schedule across those nifty three shifts.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements for maximum efficiency.
• Coaching and developing employees, including conducting performance reviews. Yes, those “talks” that everyone loves!
• Ensuring effective communication and collaboration with import and export departments. Think of yourself as the logistics ambassador!
• Fostering great communication and teamwork with the import and export teams. Teamwork makes the dream work, right?

Your team will be a shining star, known for its strong collaboration and a diverse mix of employees. You’ll be leading teams of 35 to 50 fantastic individuals, all supported by buddies to ensure everyone works together like a well-oiled machine.

You'll work closely with the shift leader and, guess what? You'll have the freedom to make independent decisions and take responsibility for handling escalations. The logistics world is your oyster!
