For our client Inotiv Inc. in Horst a contract research organization headquartered in Lafayette (Indiana, US), we have a great financial position for an experienced :
Financial/Staff Accountant.
In this role you’ll assist with the preparation of the monthly accounts and financial reporting including analytical review and commentary, supporting the country Finance Manager in general accounting and reporting duties.
You’ll also support on statutory financial audits and reporting, along with data consolidation and analysis required for corporate tax reporting, for the Netherlands and Germany. Monthly routine postings and documentation, including accruals and prepayments. Along with Balance sheet reconciliations and controls, including support of SOX controls requirements
You’ll work with the Company’s key decision makers through delivering reliable and robust financial information within tight deadlines, supporting statutory accounts audits, tax returns, and accurate balance sheet positions and reconciliations for VAT or other accounts.

This is a full-time position, working 38 hrs a week from 08:30-17:00.

Function requirements
- You’re already an Accountant, and you have a Bachelors Degree in Finance and Accounting.
- Great data analysis skills are required, so it’s key that you have good excel skills (pivot tables, Sumif statements, vlookups).
- A continuous improvement approach is required. Having the ability to identify weaknesses in the internal reporting processes, or changes in the reporting environment, so that we can make changes where mandatory requirements exist and improve the efficiency of reporting across EMEA statutory and tax reporting.
- Good communications skills are key, and you’ll need written and verbal ability, in English, to a professional work standard. You’ll not only need these skills working with your colleagues, but with external providers such as auditors and tax advisors.
- You have experience of using ERP for financial transactions and analysis, along with a general understanding of European taxes including VAT.
- Experience of working internationally, in multi-location teams would be beneficial too.
