Warehouse Supervisor Value Added Services in Venlo
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of warehouse operations (VAL/VAS), ensuring compliance with safety regulations and internal procedures, developing staff, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Your responsibilities are a.o.:
- Ensure that daily warehouse activities meet required service levels and quality standards;
- Oversee staff training to ensure competence in running a compliant and safe operation;
- Promote talent development within the team;
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop and maintain warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
- Enable the warehouse operation to swiftly adapt to changes requested by both internal and external customers, as well as product mix adjustments;
- Implement and continuously improve best practices to exceed goals;
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to maintain and improve Fill rate (on-time and in-full);
- Take ownership of key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Proactively respond to customer comments with a sense of urgency;
- Analyze and resolve customer feedback effectively;
- Work closely with other departments and divisions to ensure an overall cost-effective and efficient integrated supply chain;
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives based on clear KPIs, with an emphasis on 5S principles.
In this position you reports directly to the (ass.) Manager Value Added Services.
Function requirements
- Graduate or MBO+ level with a logistics background. A post-graduate qualification in Warehousing or Logistics is a plus;
- Minimum 4 years in Warehousing or Operations, with at least 3 years in people management;
- Strong understanding of warehouse setup, capacity planning, and optimization;
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems, preferably Oracle;
- Experience in the Medical Devices industry is advantageous;
- Knowledge of ISO13485:2003 or similar compliance environments;
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and verbal;
- Competencies: Lean/Six Sigma: Experience preferred, Team Leadership, Lean thinking, Strong team-building capabilities, Hands-on and proactive, structured, Ability to provide strong leadership in a team-based environment.
