Quality Supervisor (Fulltime)

As a member of the EMEA Quality Team, the Venlo Quality Technician Supervisor supports the Venlo Quality Manager to ensure the continued development and implementation of the regional and global Quality Management System (QMS), so that it fulfills relevant national and EU quality compliance requirements and is set up accordingly for the Venlo RDC.

Your task & responsibilities are:

  • Coordinate and supervise the team of quality technicians and effectively train, evaluate, motivate and help them to prioritize their tasks and responsibilities in line with business priorities and customer needs;
  • Define, review, manage and document the quality technicians’ goals and KPI’s and regularly evaluate their performance;
  • Directly supervise the team of quality technicians’ daily activities, set team priorities and assume accountability for correct and timely task completion;
  • Assist in making sure QMS and HACCP requirements are met and take an active role in keeping the operational working areas safe, clean and orderly;
  • Assist in writing and updating quality protocols, work instructions, checklists and corresponding registration documents as well as standardizing and optimizing the Venlo quality processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness while staying customer focused;
  • Ensure adherence and alignment to global as well as regional quality standards, product specifications and corresponding legislative requirements; provide meaningful input to policy and procedures;
  • Serve as front line representative of the team of quality technicians; liaise with other department team leaders such as warehouse, product assembly, order fulfillment as well as planning and purchasing to align the quality tasks and timelines with corresponding operational activities;
  • Monitor, record and analyze activities, trends and results; recommend actions for optimization of the Venlo quality processes;
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, processes and programs, as assigned, in collaboration with quality leadership, to improve the customer product experience.

Function requirements

Your qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant quality control experience in a food or skincare environment, including at least 3 years of experience leading a team of technicians;
  • Successfully completed MBO+ or HBO level education (scientific orientation, e.g. biochemistry, chemistry, food science) or demonstrable equivalence through experience;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English;
  • A good knowledge and hands-on experience in GMP, HACCP standards, EU regulations and Lean thinking;
  • Profound knowledge of Microsoft Office and practical usage of SAP; basic understanding of statistical processes;
  • Ability to make effective oral group presentations and written reports;
  • Ability to understand and correctly apply correct quality processes and quality principles and ability to train others to follow procedures and processes in a manufacturing environment, including proper documentation and registration management;
  • Proven ability to innovate change to improve efficiency and alignment across quality systems.
