Assistent Manager Inventory Control (Fulltime)

In this position you are crucial in improving and managing the Inventory Control department during these transformations and be the spokesman for the inventory results for both the ESC and the 3PL in the UK. In addition, this role is one of the three direct reports to the Sr. Manager Operations Support, where the other departments are Maintenance & Facilities and Production Control.

You are a member of the Operations Support team reporting to the Sr. Manager Operations Support. TheManager Inventory Control’s primary responsibility is to serve as the leader of the Inventory Control teams in the office and the warehouse floor. You also advise the Logistics Operations teams on process improvement initiatives, resolving bottlenecks and issues, as well as providing technical expertise.

As the Manager, Inventory Control you will be responsible for the process of weekly reconciliation of the different financial warehouses versus the physical inventory. All inventory results will be maintained by KPI’s which will be presented to management on monthly base.

What will you be doing?

  • Responsible for the Inventory Control team, oversees all activities and processes within the office team and the warehouse team;
  • Oversee the process of daily cycle counts, adjustments, and quality outbound checks to meet the required specifications and transforms this into clear performance reporting;
  • Propose improvements related to the Inventory Control processes to increase efficienc;
  • Drive productivity in the team and identify opportunities to increase the individual and departmental productivity;
  • Partner with Warehouse Operations, ESC Supply Chain and Store Operations regarding Inventory Control to ensure accuracy and solve discrepancies or other inventory related issues;
  • Ensure financial accurate inventory of all system warehouses within the service center by overseeing all SOX requirements/audits with regards to inventory reconciliation;
  • Prepare Monthly Financial Review Package to be presented to the audit team;
  • Prepare and present accurate, well supported analyses and reports related to Inventory to support the business;
  • Train, motivate, and develop the Inventory Control team to drive performance and achieve targets. This includes goal setting, performance assessment, counselling and ongoing training and development;
  • Provide support in Process Improvement initiatives related to the business.

Functie eisen

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline;
  • Minimum 1-3 years of supply chain experience, preferably within Inventory Control;
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills;
  • Experience in training, motivating, and developing team members;
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box;
  • Strong presentation and communication skills;
  • Experience in performance management and sharing feedback aiming at engaging others towards results;
  • Knowledge of the concepts of Lean and Continuous Improvement;
  • Fluent in verbal and written communication in English and Dutch.
